According to the FDA, on May 5, 2016, CRF Frozen Foods informed Pictsweet it was initiating a recall on all lots of Green Beans and Green Peas supplied to Pictsweet due to the potential risk that these Vegetables may contain Listeria monocytogenes.

The recalled Vegetable products were sold under the Kroger label or the Kroger P$$T label with best-if-used-by dates listed above. These products were sold City Market, Food 4 Less, Fred Meyer, Fry’s, King Soopers, QFC, Ralphs and Smith’s Stores and all include the letter “K” as the 5th character of the manufacturing code.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Frozen Vegetables, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Vegetables to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

Please note: this notification is a part of a much larger recall of Frozen Fruits and Vegetables from CRF Frozen Foods in which 358 separate frozen fruit and vegetable products sold under 42 separate brands were withdrawn from the marketplace due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
