The UK Chartered Trading Standards Institute (“CTSI”) reports the following Cooked Chicken is subject to this recall:

  • Argo Poultry brand Whole Cooked Chicken, all sizes with use-by dates ranging from between 20 April 2016 to 4 May 2016, unless an ‘A’ prefix is on the label.

According to the CTSI, Argo Foods has recalled certain batch/lots of Whole Cooked Chickens with a shelf-life that has been extended beyond their validated shelf-life. If shelf-life has been extended beyond the validated shelf-life, it could pose a risk to human health.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Whole Cooked Chicken, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
