UK/London: Green Grocer's Mixed Vegetable Recall [UK]Lidl recalls certain batch/lots of Green Grocer’s brand Mexican Style, Gourmet Style and Oriental Style Mixed Vegetables due to undeclared celery, gluten, milk and soya, all known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention. The UK Chartered Trading Standards Institute (“CTSI”) reports the following Mixed Vegetables are subject to this recall:

  • Green Grocer’s brand Mixed Vegetables Mexican Style, 750 gram package; best-before date: 1 April 2017; hazard: undeclared milk
  • Green Grocer’s brand Mixed Vegetables Gourmet Style, 750 gram package; best-before date: 8 May 2017; hazard: undeclared milk
  • Green Grocer’s brand Mixed Vegetables Oriental Style, 750 gram package; best-before date: 29 April 2017; hazard: undeclared celery, gluten, milk and soya

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional variations of the recalled Mixed Vegetables are pictured on the Web site above.

According to the CTSI, Mexican and Gourmet Mixed Vegetables contain milk and Oriental Mixed Vegetables contains milk, gluten, soya and celery, none of which is mentioned on the label in English. This means the products may represent a health hazard for those with an allergy or intolerance to these ingredients.

Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
