The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Frozen Vegetables are subject to this recall:

  • Organic By Nature brand Organic Butternut Squash (frozen), sold in two (2) kilogram packages with best-by dates ranging from 04.26.16 to 04.26.18 inclusively and a UPC of 8 46358 00067 1
  • Organic By Nature brand Organic Vegetable Medley (frozen), sold in 2.5 kilogram packages with best-by dates ranging from 04.26.16 to 04.26.18 inclusively and a UPC of 8 46358 00062 6

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional brand variation of the recalled Frozen Vegetables is pictured on the Web site above.

According to the CFIA, its food recall warning issued on or about April 23, 2016 has been updated to include additional product information.

Costco Wholesale Canada Ltd. has recalled certain batch/lots of Organic by Nature brand Frozen Organic Butternut Squash and Organic Vegetable Medley from the marketplace due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. You should not consume the recalled products listed above sold by Costco Warehouse locations in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Frozen Vegetables, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
