The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Drink Bottles are subject to this recall:

  • Vertex H20 Drink Bottles, with a 700 ml capacity and removable, fitted lids sold under an Officeworks item number of 26773

According to the ACCC, some parts contained in the lid of the recalled Drink Bottle may separate from the lid. If this defect occurs and parts do, in fact, separate from the lid while the Drink Bottle is in use, the parts could pose choking and/or ingestion hazards.

If plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Drink Bottles, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the Officeworks store where you purchased it for a full refund.
