The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Yellow Fish are subject to this recall:

  • Dried Yellow Fish, sold by WD Import and Export. No packaging information or UPC was supplied with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, the Dried Yellow Fish was sold in bulk un-labeled and un-coded cardboard boxes and is a product of China. The product was sold in retail stores in New York City.

The potential for contamination was noted after routine sampling by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspection and subsequent analysis of the product by Food Laboratory personnel confirming that the fish was not properly eviscerated prior to processing.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Dried Yellow Fish, please do not consume it. Instead, kindly return the product to the store or distributor where you purchased it for a full refund.
