According to the CPSC, the recalled Lopper Shears’ handles can break when attempting to cut branches, posing a risk of serious injury and laceration. The firm has now received a total of 33 reports of incidents, of which ten (10) occurred after the October 2014 recall announcement.  The reports include pinched fingers, bruising and injuries to the head and face. Some injuries required medical attention and stitches to close wounds.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Lopper Shears and contact Fiskars to receive a replacement Lopper.
