The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves GE Lighting High Intensity Discharge (“HID”) LED Lamps.

The recalled High Intensity Discharge Lamps are used in lighting fixtures for warehouses, schools and gymnasiums. The Lamps are 5-1/2 inches in diameter by 11-1/2 inches long and weigh about three (3) pounds.

Each Lamp was sold in a blue and white carton with the designations, “ED37/EX39 base” on the front and “PC:21259” on the back above the bar code. Recalled Lamps have the GE logo and the following information on the white plastic base of the lamp: LED165/M400/740, 165W, 4000K, 20000 Lumens, China and date code K213 or K245.

According to the CPSC, the Lamps can separate from its base and fall onto consumers below, posing impact and injury hazard. The firm has received four (4) reports of Lamps separating from their lamp base and falling. No injuries or property damage have been reported.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled LED Lamps, please do not use it. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
