Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports this recall involves the two-prong plug portion of the Apple AC Power Supply (Wall Plug Adapters) designed for use in Continental Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, South Korea and Brazil.

The recalled Wall Plug Adapters shipped from 2003 to 2015 with Macintosh and of Apple’s iOS devices, and were also included in the Apple World Travel Adapter Kit, a separate after-market part available from the company aimed at travellers.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional variations of the recalled Wall Plug Adapters are pictured on the Web site above.

According to the ACCC, certain Adapters may break and create a risk of electrical shock if touched.

You can identify whether your Adaptors are recalled by looking at the inside slot where they attach to the AC Line Cord. Recalled Adapters have four or five characters or no characters displayed vertically inside the slot. Please see the additional images on the Web site for further instructions and placement of the identifying text.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Wall Plug Adapters, please do not use them or plug them into the mains/AC. Instead, kindly stop using the Adapters and exchange them at no charge for a new redesigned model that is currently shipping.

Customers should visit for information about how to identify the affected Wall Plug Adapters and the exchange process. You can complete a Web-based form with your shipping address, e-mail and product serial number after which Apple will send you new Adapter. The package you will receive from Apple will also contain a postage pre-paid package, in which you can place the recalled Adapter and return it to Apple.

Customers can also visit an Apple Retail Store or an Apple Authorised Service Provider location to exchange their affected Adapters.
