Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Kitchen Aid is subject to this recall:

  • Edgy Veggie, a green-coloured, spiral vegetable cutter with dual stainless steel cutting blades, item number: 3OFUS-EDVE

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation. An additional image of the recalled Spiral Cutter is pictured on the Web site above.

According to the ACCC, the metal pin in the centre of the food safety holder cap accessory can become dislodged. If this defect occurs, the metal pin can be left in food creating a laceration and ingestion hazard.

If plastic, glass or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled spiral vegetable cutters, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
