US/Silver Spring: FDA Logo BlueTexas Star Nut and Food Co. recalls certain batch/lots of Nature’s Eats brand Natural Pistachios Kernels due to possible Salmonella contamination, a serious health hazard. FDA:

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Pistachios are subject to this recall:

  • Nature’s Eats Natural Pistachios Kernels, 8 ounce container; lot code: 40262001; best-by date code: 1/4/2017

According to the FDA, the recall was as a result of a routine, random sampling program conducted by an FDA third-party contracted lab. This testing revealed Nature’s Eats Natural Pistachio Kernels product contained Salmonella.

This recalled Pistachios were distributed to Retail Locations in Texas and Louisiana and sold between 1/22/2016 and 2/3/2016.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Pistachios, please do not consume them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
