The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Electric ‘Hoverboard’ Scooters have been recalled:

Balancing Scooter ‘Hoverboard’ Scooters, sold with the following recalled Electric Charger:

  • Charger model number: JN-L10S20

Please consult the photograph above for details of the Hoverboard’s design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, the Chargers for the recalled Balancing Scooter Hoverboards have no Australian regulatory approvals, and therefore may not comply with Australian safety standards. There is, therefore, a risk of battery overheating and fire to those who use the Chargers.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Scooters, please do not use them. Instead, stop using the Charger immediately by switching off the power at the socket outlet and then unplugging the unit from the socket outlet. The product was sold nationally on in December 2015 by TCB Contracting NSW and ‘Toy Master Australia’ pop-up shop at Casula Mall, NSW.
