The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Pistachios are subject to this recall:

  • Two (2) pound bags of Raw Pistachios, bearing the batch number 1357 in the lower left corner of the Country Life Natural Foods Label.
  • The 30 pound boxes of Raw Pistachios, bearing the name “SAM International”, lot number 102914 and best-by date of April 29, 2016.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional images of the recalled Pistachios are pictured on the Web site above.

According to the FDA, this recall was initiated when an FDA contract testing laboratory analysis revealed the presence of Salmonella in one of the 19 samples obtained from SAM International. As a precaution, additional products are being recalled as they may be contaminated as they were packed from the same master lot.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Pistachios, please do not consume them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
