The UK Chartered Trading Standards Institute (“CTSI”) reports the following Kettle Chips are subject to this recall:

  • Kettle Chips – Lightly Salted, 150 gram bags
  • Kettle Chips – Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar, 40 gram bags
  • Kettle Chips – Mature Cheddar & Red Onion, 40 gram bags
  • Kettle Chips – Lightly Salted Multipack, five (5) by 30 gram bags
  • Kettle Chips – Lightly Salted, 30 gram bags

All best-before dates are affected by this recall, up to and including 28th May 2016

According to the CTSI, Kettle Foods Ltd has identified certain bags of Kettle Chip products, all with a best-before date of 28th May 2016, may contain pieces of plastic that are similar in appearance to the usual crisps inside the package.

In general, if plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Kettle Chips, please do not consume it. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

Alternatively, you can also return the empty pack for a full refund including postage, together with your name and address to Kettle Foods Ltd, Barnard Road, Norwich NR5 9JP
