US/Washington: Canyon Creek Pho Bo Vein Soup Recall [US]Canyon Creek Soup Co. recalls approximately 7,275 pounds of Vietnamese inspired Pho Bo Vein Soup due to possible failure to present the product at the US border for inspection, a serious health hazard. USDA:

The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Meatball Soup Products are subject to this recall:

  • Vietnamese inspired Pho Bo Vein Soup, sold in 291 cases each containing ten (10) 2.56 pound plastic soup package kits consisting of broth with meatballs, rice noodles, sriracha packets and hoisin packets bearing package code 16AL20 or 16AL24.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the USDA, the products subject to recall bear the establishment number “EST. 422” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail outlets in California.

The problem was discovered when a Customs and Border Protection official notified FSIS personnel that the items had been shipped without inspection.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Vietnamese inspired Pho Bo Vein Soup, please do not consume it. Instead, kindly return the product to the store or outlet where you purchased it for a full refund.
