The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Bacon Fritters are subject to this recall:

  • McCain Early Risers Potato, Egg, Cheese & Bacon Fritters, sold in 1,681 cases bearing a batch code of “1001487402” and containing four 3.75-pound plastic vacuum-packed packages.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s design.

According to the USDA, the products subject to recall bear establishment number
“EST. 18846” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to food service distributors in Arkansas, Florida, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Maine, Oklahoma, Ohio, Texas, Tennessee and Utah.

If plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled McCain Early Risers, please do not consume or serve them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store or distributor where you purchased it for a full refund.
