Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain Britax B-Safe 35 and B-Safe 35 Elite Infant Car Seats and Travel Systems manufactured between October 1, 2014 and July 1, 2015.

The recalled products can be used as rear-facing only car seats as well as out-of-the-vehicle infant carriers. The Car Seat/Carriers have a canopy, black shell and base, and were sold in a variety of colors.

The Britax logo is printed on both sides of the seat shell and on the carry handle grip. The specific model number and the date of manufacture (“DOM”) are printed on a label located at the back of the Infant Car Seat/Carrier shell.

Models included in the recall are:

  • B-Safe 35 Car Seat System:
    • Model numbers: E9LU65M, E9LU65P, E9LU63F, E9LU66R, E9LS63F and EXLU65M
    • Dates of manufacture (YYYY/MM/DD format): from October 1, 2014 (“2014/10/01”) to July 1, 2015 (“2015/07/01”)
  • B-Safe 35 Car Seat Elite System:
    • Model numbers: E9LS55T, E9LS56P, E9LS55U, E9LS66C and E9LS65U
    • Dates of manufacture (YYYY/MM/DD format): from October 1, 2014 (“2014/10/01”) to July 1, 2015 (“2015/07/01”)
  • B-Safe 35 Travel Car Seat System
    • Model numbers: S914900, S915400, S915200, S921900 and S01635200
    • Dates of manufacture (YYYY/MM/DD format): from October 1, 2014 (“2014/10/01”) to July 1, 2015 (“2015/07/01”)

According to the CPSC, the recalled Car Seat/Carrier carry handle can crack and break allowing the seat to fall unexpectedly. This poses an injury hazard to the infant.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Infant Car Seats and Travel Systems, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
