The UK Chartered Trading Standards Institute (“CTSI”) reports the following Black Pudding Slices are subject to this recall:

  • Real Lancashire Black Pudding Slices, sold in 230 gram packages, with a use-by date of 31-12-16

According to the CTSI, the recalled Black Pudding packages have a use-by date of 31.12.16 when in fact, they should have a use-by date of 31.12.15, that is, one year earlier. By listing an incorrect date, the Black Pudding may be contaminated, rancid or otherwise unfit to eat when a consumer serves it.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Black Pudding Slices, please do not consume them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
