Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Coughing Liquid is subject to this recall:

Please consult the photograph above for details of the drug’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the FDA, the Coughing Liquid has been found to contain Morphine, an opioid drug. The ingredient “Compound Camphor” is declared on the product label, but not its constituents, including Morphine.

The recalled Coughing Liquid was sold for the temporary relief of cough due to cold, minor throat and bronchial irritations and was distributed to Chinese grocery stores in various cities throughout California, Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada, New Jersey and Ohio.

Consumers using this product may not be aware they are ingesting Morphine.

==> The unintentional ingestion of Morphine can lead to life-threatening respiratory depression and death.

Because the Morphine ingredient contained in this product is not specifically identified on the label, there is a risk that patients who are hypersensitive to Morphine could suffer severe allergic reactions.

In addition young children with a respiratory illness are vulnerable to respiratory depression from opioids and should not be exposed to Morphine in any event. To date, Master Herbs is not aware of any adverse events associated with use of the product.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Coughing Liquid, please do not consume it. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund. Retailer and wholesalers should stop distributing the product, quarantine any remaining inventory and make arrangements to return the product.
