The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Chapati Makers are subject to this recall:

  • Maharaja brand Chapati Maker, 900 watts, 230 VAC, 50Hz. No item number or UPC was given.

According to the ACCC, the recalled Chapati Makers have no electrical approval number for sale within Australia. Due to lack of proof of electrical certification, there is a possible risk of fire and/or electrocution if this product is used in the way intended.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession a recalled Maharaja brand Health Care Cooking Systems Chapati Maker, please do not use it. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
