The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Mandarin Oranges are subject to this recall:

  • Nice! brand Mandarin Orange in Light Syrup, 8 ounce jar; item numbers: 80895; lot number: H894K09A 01/11/2017; bottle UPC: 0-49022-80895-9; case UPC: 100-49022-80895-6
  • Nice! brand Mandarin Orange in Light Syrup, 8 ounce jar; item numbers: 80895; lot number: 4200/01039 01/16/2018; bottle UPC: 0-49022-80895-9; case UPC: 100-49022-80895-6
  • Nice! brand Mandarin Orange in Light Syrup, 8 ounce jar; item numbers: 80895; lot number: 4200/01039 02/01/2018; bottle UPC: 0-49022-80895-9; case UPC: 100-49022-80895-6

According to the FDA, Milky Way International Trading Corp. has recalled the above batches of Nice! brand Mandarin Oranges in 8-ounce bottles due to potential glass fragments in the product. The recalled Mandarin Oranges were distributed to Walgreens stores nationwide and displays one of the lot numbers listed above.

If glass, plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Mandarin Oranges, please do not consume them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
