The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Luggage Straps are subject to this recall:

  • The recalled Elastic Luggage Straps consist of multiple strand elastic cord with plastic coated steel hooks which come in packs of two in sizes 18″, 24″, 30″, 36″ with an 8mm diameter and with item numbers HC51183, HC51243, HC51303 and HC51363 respectively.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, in contravention of the mandatory standard for Luggage Straps, the items do not have the required safety warning labels. Elastic luggage straps that are not properly labelled could potentially be misused, resulting in injury to the user and those nearby.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Luggage Straps, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
