Australia/Canberra: 6276 - CUBCarltonDryBeerCUB Pty trading as Carlton & United Breweries recalls certain batches of Carlton Dry Beer due to possible glass fragment contamination, a serious health and safety hazard. ACCC:

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Beer is subject to this recall:

  • Carlton Dry Beer, sold with best-before date codes of 19 JUL 16 (3A) and 20 JUL 16 (3B)

Please consult the photograph above for details of the beverage’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, the recalled Beer may contain glass fragments introduced during the bottling process.

If plastic or glass fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Carlton Dry Beer, please do not consume them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
