The UK Chartered Trading Standards Institute (“CTSI”) reports the following Marking Pens are subject to this recall:

  • 20 Washable Brush Pens, no barcode/UPC was reported
  • 12 Washable Colouring Pens, no barcode/UPC was reported [pictured]

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation. An additional variation of the recalled Marking Pens is pictured on the Web site above.

According to the CTSI, Asda is recalling the 20 Washable Brush Pens and the 12 Washable Colouring Pens packs. The company has become aware of a potential choking hazard due to a manufacturing error where air holes are not formed correctly into some of the pen caps.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Pens, please do not use them or allow your children to play with them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
