The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Salmon products are subject to this recall:

  • VIS Seafoods brand Wild Coho Salmon, 6.0 ounce can; UPC: 6 10041 40004 4
  • VIS Seafoods brand Wild Smoked Coho Salmon. 6.0 ounce can; UPC: 6 10041 40001 3
  • VIS Seafoods brand Wild King Salmon, 6.0 ounce can; UPC: 6 10041 21001 8
  • VIS Seafoods brand Wild Smoked King Salmon, 5. ounce can; UPC: 6 10041 20001 9
  • VIS Seafoods brand Wild Sockeye Salmon, 6.0 ounce can; UPC: 6 10041 10002 9
  • VIS Seafoods brand Wild Smoked Sockeye Salmon, 5.5 ounce can; UPC: 6 10041 10001 2

According to the FDA, this recall was initiated after the company was notified that its products were possibly under-processed. The problem was discovered during an inspection at its supplier, Skipanon Brand Seafoods, by the US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”).

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Salmon products, please do not consume them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
