Additional information:
The UK Chartered Trading Standards Institute (“CTSI”) reports the following Travel Adapters are subject to this recall:

  • Intelligent Pelican model J-188 Travel Adapters

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional images of the recalled Travel Adapters are pictured on the Web site above.

According to the CTSI, Intelligent Pelican has learned this model of Travel Adapters has failed a screening test and has been deemed a serious risk. By pressing hard and sliding the UK or USA pins, the Adapter’s European pins can spring out at the same time. This would render the European pins live if pushed into functioning mode, creating an electric shock hazard.

The recalled Travel Adapters were sold from September 2014 to 21st August 2015.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Travel Adapters, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
