The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Dining Chairs are subject to this recall:

Majesty brand Dining Chairs: thess are dining chairs constructed of hardwood timber legs and pine frames topped with a fully upholstered smooth leather-look seat and back, measuring approximately 920 mm high by 430 mm wide by 450 mm deep. The recalled Chairs have no identifying numbers such as SKUs or UPCs.

According to the ACCC, the front leg joint on the seat base of the product may become loose and fail. If the leg joint on the seat base fails whilst in use, the chair might collapse and may cause injury.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Chairs, please do not use them. Instead, should check that your chairs are stable and there are no signs of loosening or wood fracture. To check the stability of the chairs, please perform the following procedure:

  1. turn the chairs over,
  2. remove the Velcro dust covers, and
  3. inspect the front leg corner blocks to ensure they are properly attached.
