The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Cheese Products are subject to this recall (in alphabetical order):

  • Yanni brand Feta Basket with Sundried Tomato & Thyme, 226 gram package; product codes: all codes; UPC: 7 96252 99009 0
  • Yanni brand Feta Basket, 226 gram package; product codes: all codes; UPC: 7 96252 99007 6
  • Yanni brand Goat Feta Basket, 226 gram package; product codes: all codes; UPC: 7 96252 99008 3
  • Yanni brand Grilling Cheese – Jalapeno & spices, 226 gram package; product codes: all codes; UPC: 7 96252 99010 6
  • Yanni brand Grilling Cheese – Original, 226 gram package; product codes: all codes; UPC: 7 96252 99013 7

According to the CFIA, this recall was triggered by a recall in another country, specifically the United States. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. If other high-risk products are recalled, the CFIA will notify the public through updated Food Recall Warnings. There have been no reported illnesses in Canada associated with the consumption of these products.
