The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Charger/ Adapter Units are subject to this recall:

Charger/Adaptor Units with model numbers OEM-T301-BK, OEM-T301-WH and 8WD-T301 and the following electrical parameters:

  • Input: AC 100-240V, 50-60Hz, 15W max
  • Output: DC 5V, 2000mA (1-USB) / 1000mA (2-USB) / 660mA (3-USB) / 500mA (4-USB)
  • Charging efficiency: 75% typ
  • Output voltage tolerance: +5%
  • Standby power consumption: 0.5W max
  • Weight: 0.0 4kg

The recalled Charger/Adaptors let you power and recharge your iPhone, iPod, iPad, HTC, Samsung, Mione, tablet PC, PSP, MP3, MP4, cell phone and all other USB-powered mobile electronics.

According to the ACCC, the plug on the recalled Charger/Adaptor Units can separate exposing live parts. If this occurs, the live electrical parts can cause an electric shock to anyone who touches the line or any connected devices.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Charger/Adaptors, please do not use them. Instead, kindly turn off the device, unplug the Charger/Adaptor unit from the mains and contact your point of purchase for a full refund and instructions for the disposal of the unit.
