The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Macadamia Nuts are subject to this recall:

  • Jansal Valley Raw Macadamia Nuts, sold in a 8 ounce and 16 ounce (one pound) clear plastic bags with multicolored labels and a lot code of 469566.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional variations of the recalled Nut packages are pictured on the Web site above.

According to the FDA, the Raw Macadamia Nuts were distributed US nationwide in retail stores and through mail orders. Random third-party testing has found presence of Salmonella in the one pound packages of Jansal Valley Raw Macadamia Nuts, prompting the recall.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Macadamia Nuts, please do not consume them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
