Additional information:
The UK Chartered Trading Standards Institute (“CTSI”) reports the following Car Seats are subject to this recall:

  • Dimples Snug Carseat Group 1-2-3; item number: 133463
  • Dimples Snug Supreme Group 123; item number: 140942
  • Dimples Deluxe Car Seat Group 1-2-3; item number: 116734
  • Dimples Premium Car Seat Group 1-2; item number: 116790

  • Dimples Car Seat Group 123; item number: 111081

According to the CTSI, Smyth Toys is providing, free of charge, an additional Easy Fit Clip to provide more secure Car Seat installation. As with various elements of a Car Seat, such as the harness and seat belt, there may be a tendency for loss of tension. All elements of the Car Seat safety system, therefore, should be periodically checked to ensure optimum child safety.

Please note: the Car Seat is fully tested and approved to the relevant and current European regulation (i.e., “ECE R44”). The Clip device is an additional-tested safety measure.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Car Seat, please do not use it without the necessary modification. Smyths Toys encourages all those who have purchased any of the Dimples Car Seats listed above to either contact their nearest Smyths Toys store where staff will fit the Clip at their premises or alternatively, post the Clip and the necessary installation instructions to you.
