The UK Chartered Trading Standards Institute (“CTSI”) reports the following Smoked Fish Products are subject to this recall:

  • J & K Smokery Vacuum Packed Smoked Fish Products; package size: all; batch codes: all; best-by date codes: all; UK approval number: UK LO 068 EC

According to the CTSI, J & K Smokery Ltd has recalled all packs of its Vacuum Packed Smoked Fish because of concerns about procedures to control Clostridium botulinum, the bacteria responsible for Botulism. Although no trace of the toxin has been found in products tested, a recall from customers is being carried out as a precautionary measure.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Smoked Fish Products, please do not consume it. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
