The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Smoked Fish are subject to this recall:

  • The Healthy Butcher Smoked Kolapore Rainbow Trout, variable package sizes; product codes: packaged on dates up to and including 2015.JL.16; UPC: starting with 0202159
  • The Healthy Butcher House Smoked Fish, variable package sizes; product codes: packaged on dates up to and including 2015.JL.16; UPC: starting with 0201230

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. An additional variation of the recalled Smoked Fish is pictured on the Web site above.

According to the CFIA, people should not consume the Healthy Butcher brand Smoked Fish Products listed above because either one could permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum, the bacteria responsible for Botulism.
