The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following French Toast Meals are subject to this recall:

  • 8.25-ounce compartment trays of Golden Gourmet French Toast Sticks with Turkey Patty & Peaches with a use-by date of 11/14/16

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the USDA, the recalled Turkey Sausage component of the French Toast Meals may contain pieces of a conveyor belt inside the packaging. The packages bear Establishment Number “P-21200” inside the USDA mark of inspection. Individual entrées were distributed to older adults in Georgia as part of the Meals on Wheels program.

The problem was discovered in 10-pound bulk packages of the French Toast Sticks by a customer of the ingredient manufacturer. The customer contacted Gourmet Culinary Solutions. In turn, Gourmet Culinary Solutions notified the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (“FSIS”) of the problem, and then began a market withdrawal of the products.

If plastic, metal or glass fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled French Toast Meals, please do not consume them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

If you have any questions about this recall notification, please contact Brian Zulaica, director of Gourmet Culinary Solutions, at 1-770-725-4620.
