US/Washington: Monogram Beverage Mug Recall [US]Tri-Vista Designs recalls approximately 10,000 Monogram Beverage Mugs due to fire hazard. CPSC:

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves 16-ounce white ceramic beverage mugs with metallic gold accents. A monogram letter A, B, C, D, E, G, H, J, K, L, M, R, S or T is printed in gold on the Mug.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation. A sticker on the bottom of the Mug has the phrases “UPC# 698617673962”, “SKU# 138837” and “Retail: $6.99” printed.

According to the CPSC, if used in the microwave, the metallic Mugs can spark, posing a fire hazard. The firm has received one (1) report of a Mug that began to spark while in the microwave. No injuries have been reported.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Mugs, please do not use them in a microwave oven. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
