The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Meat Pies are subject to this recall:

  • Bakewell Party Pies, sold in a 12-pack of meat pies with a best-before date of 15 Dec 16 and with a batch code of 166/15

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, the product is being recalled as it may contain metal. If plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Meat Pies, please do not consume them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
