The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Heaters are subject to this recall:

  • Gasmate: Alfresco Radiant Heaters,1800W,2400W,3200W
    • model number: EH610; serial number: 217879
    • model number: EH620; serial numbers: 217879 and 218303
    • model number: EH630; serial number: 217878
  • Maxiheat: Slimline Radiant Heaters,1800W,2400W,3200W
    • model number: EH610M; serial number: 202268
    • model number: EH620M; serial numbers: 202268, 222460 and 226663
    • model number: 630M; serial number: 202268

According to the ACCC, the heating element may get excessively hot and cause some areas of the radiant heater panel to melt. In some cases, this may cause the RCD (i.e., the Heater’s safety switch) to trip instead. If this occurs, there is risk of burns or fire.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Heaters, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact Sitro Group Australia immediately to receive a replacement unit or to discuss an alternative remedy.
