The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Warm White Light Tubes are subject to this recall:

  • Green Century T8 LED 120 cm Warm White Light Tubes, model number: GC-T8I18WL120-001

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, the construction of the recalled Light Tubes fails to meet Australian electrical safety standards. These LED Light Tubes have inadequate insulation and internal clearances between live internal parts and accessible metal parts. Due to these factors, there is a risk of electric shock.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Light Tubes, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store or outlet where you purchased them for a full refund.

Always use appropriate personal protective equipment (“PPE”) when working with electrical fixtures, including gloves and protective eye ware. Ensure all circuits are turned off at the panel before working with any electrical appliance or lighting fixture.
