The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Plastic Fuel Cans are subject to this recall:

5L, 10L, 20L Pro Quip Plastic Fuel Can with Cap, part numbers: 0950, 1008, 0957, 0951, 1009, 0958, 0805, 0804, 0902 and 0903 with a production date of July or August 2014, as indicated by the Clock Face Date Stamp on the bottom of the Plastic Fuel Can.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the Fuel Can’s date stamp. Additional photographs of the recalled products are pictured on the Web site above.

According to the ACCC, in some circumstances, the Can’s Screw Cap may split when tightened or sealed. If this happens, the contents of the Fuel Can may leak or spill, exposing consumers to both hazardous fumes and a potential fire hazard.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession a recalled Plastic Fuel Can, please do not use it. Instead, kindly check the Production Date on the bottom or underside of the Can, and immediately contact Pro Quip to arrange a replacement Cap if your Can is affected by this recall notice.
