The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following String Lights are subject to this recall:

Models SLS110 and SLC010 supplied after 01/02/2015 are affected. These models have been sold in Victoria, Western Australia, Tasmania, New South Wales and Queensland by various retailers.

The following features can identify the recalled models.

  • Pouch of the product has copper or silver dots and wording “String lights” in black as indicated in the photo

The power supply included with the models has a green charging light & plug pins are not insulated.

String Lights models supplied before 01/02/2015 with an approved power supply where the plug pins are insulated are not affected by this recall.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation. An additional variation of the recalled String Lights are pictured on the Web site above.

According to the ACCC, the power supply supplied with the recalled String Lights does not comply with the AS/NZS 61347.2.13 standard. There is, therefore, a risk of electric shock.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled String Lights, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
