Tesco Coleslaw & Potato Salad Recall [UK]

The UK Chartered Trading Standards Institute (“CTSI”) reports the following Salad Products are subject to this recall:

  • Tesco Finest Charlotte Potato Salad sold in 275 gram containers with use-by dates of 12 May 2015, 13 May 2015, 14 May 2015 and 15 May 2015
  • Tesco Finest Coleslaw and Potato Salad sold in 400 gram containers with use-by dates of 11 May 2015, 12 May 2015, 13 May 2015, 14 May 2015 and 15 May 2015
  • Tesco Potato Salad sold in 300 gram containers with use-by dates of 17 May 2015 and 18 May 2015
  • Tesco Potato Salad sold in 600 gram containers with use-by dates of 17 May 2015, 18 May 2015 and 19 May 2015
  • Tesco Healthy Living Potato Salad sold in 300 gram containers with use-by dates of 16 May 2015 and 17 May 2015
  • Tesco Coleslaw and Potato Salad Twin Pack, 500 gram containers with use-by dates of 14 May 2015, 15 May 2015, 16 May 2015, 17 May 2015 and 18 May 2015

According to the CTSI, Tesco is recalling its Tesco Finest Charlotte Potato Salad 275 gram, Tesco Finest Coleslaw and Potato Salad 400 gram, Tesco Potato Salad 300 gram / 600 gram, Tesco Healthy Living Salad 300 gram and Tesco Coleslaw and Potato Salad Twin Pack 500 gram as they may contain small pieces of metal.

If plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Salads, please do not consume it. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
