US/Silver Spring: Poco Dolce Toffee Tile Treats Recall [US]Poco Dolce Confections recalls all Almond, Aztec Chile, Burnt Caramel, Almond Coconut, Ginger, and Sesame Toffee Individually Wrapped Tiles due to undeclared milk, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention. The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Foods are subject to this recall:

  • Individually Wrapped Tiles, consisting of individually wrapped 2″ square pieces of Bittersweet Chocolate in glassine envelopes that are packaged in 18 piece trays. They are available in seven varieties though only the following six flavors are subject to this recall: Almond, Aztec Chile, Burnt Caramel, Almond Coconut, Ginger and Sesame Toffee.

According to the FDA, these varieties of individually wrapped Tiles are being recalled due to their label’s failure to specifically name “Milk”, a known food allergen, as an ingredient in addition to its posted listing for “Butter” on the product label.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession these recalled Toffee Tiles and could be allergic to their milk ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
