Shan brand Fruit Chaat Seasoning Recall [UK]

UK/Basildon: TRS recalls certain Shan brand Fruit Chaat Seasoning due to undeclared soya and sulphur dioxide, a precursor to sulphites. The UK Trading Standards Institute (“TSI”) reports the following Seasoning is subject to this recall:

• Shan brand Fruit Chaat Seasoning, 60 gram package, with a best-before end date of 22 January 2016 and a batch code of No FCH 0011302813 MH03

According to the TSI, the company is recalling Shan Fruit Chaat Seasoning because it contains sulphur dioxide and soya, neither of which are mentioned on the food product packaging. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide, or an allergy to soya.

Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
