US/Washington: Great Pacific Burrito Recall [US]Vern’s and Sons Food Service recalls approximately 450 pounds of Beef and Chicken Burritos due to production without the benefit of federal inspection and production outside inspection hours, both serious health hazards. USDA:

The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Burritos are subject to this recall:

  • Great Pacific Beef Verde Burritos, sold in 10-ounce individually wrapped packages
  • Great Pacific Chicken Chipotle Burritos, sold in 10-ounce individually wrapped packages

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging and retail presentation. Additional variations of the recalled foods are pictured on the Web site above.

According to the USDA, the food products subject to recall bear the establishment number “P-34723” or “Est. 34723” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These products were shipped to retail locations in Oregon and Washington.

The problem was discovered during in-plant verification activities.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Beef and/or Chicken Burritos, please do not consume it. Instead, kindly return the product to the store or distributor where you purchased it for a full refund.
