Additional information:
The UK Trading Standards Institute (“TSI”) reports the following Ball Whisks are subject to this recall:

  • Tesco Stainless Steel Ball Whisks

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s design and retail presentation.

According to the TSI, there have been incidents in which the attached Balls have, in fact, detached from the Whisks during use. This product, therefore, may be unsafe for consumers if a detached Ball goes unnoticed by a cook and is ingested into the GI tract or blocks the airway.

If plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession a recalled Ball Whisk, please do not use it. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

If you have any questions about this recall, please contact Tesco Customer Services directly on: UK 0800 505 555 or ROI 1850 744 844.
