Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Sporting Goods are subject to this recall:

  • Spalding Punching Bags. Punching bags are heavy duty bags typically hung from a weight bearing ceiling or wall and are designed in a cylindrical shape and filled with materials to absorb repeated strikes of high force.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, the recalled Punching Bags contain filling made with hazardous items such as nails, sewing needles, food and packaging waste. If this filling is exposed and then struck by a hand, foot or other body part, it poses injury and laceration hazards.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession a recalled Punching Bag, please do not use it. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

The company suggests you should download a Product Recall Form from the Spalding Web site at http://www.spalding.com.au and submit the form with a photo of your Punching Bag to productrecall@spalding.com.au or call the dedicated consumer hotline at 1300-654-766 with any queries.
