US/Silver Spring: Giant Eagle Little Italy Panini Recall [US]:Giant Eagle recalls certain Little Italy Paninis due to undeclared egg, a known allergen and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention. FDA:

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Paninis are subject to this recall:

  • Little Italy Paninis, Cold style; UPC: 97525 20399
  • Little Italy Paninis, Hot style; UPC: 97525 20399

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the FDA, the product label for the recalled Paninis, which contain egg, does not list egg as an allergen.
