The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Cinnamon Almonds are subject to this recall:

  • Trader Joe’s Cinnamon Almonds, sold in 16-ounce, clear plastic packages with a UPC of 00761437. The recalled Almonds were distributed nationwide in Trader Joe’s retail stores.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the FDA, the recall was initiated after peanuts were discovered in packages of Trader Joe’s Cinnamon Almonds. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in the supplier’s production and packaging processes. All at-risk food products have been removed from store shelves; sales of this product have been suspended. To date, Trader Joe’s has received one (1) report of an allergic reaction potentially linked to this product.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Cinnamon Almonds and could be allergic to their peanut ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
