The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Cheese Burgers are subject to this recall:

  • H-E-B Fully Cooked Thick N’ Tasty Bacon Cheese Burgers Natural Smoke Flavor Added, packed in 15-pound cases each containing eight-3.75 ounce burgers
  • H-E-B Fully Cooked Thick N’ Tasty Cheese Burgers Natural Smoke Flavor Added, packed in 15-pound cases each containing eight-3.75 ounce burgers

According to the USDA, the Ready-To-Eat (“RTE”) Cheese Burgers were produced on various dates between August 22, 2014 and January 9, 2015.

The Cheese Burgers subject to recall bear the establishment number “EST. 2260 T” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items produced were shipped to retail locations in Texas.

The problem was discovered when plant management approached the FSIS Inspector of a possible wheat contamination from a spice mix that was being used to formulate the product.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession these recalled Cheese Burgers and could be allergic to their wheat ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
