The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Torches are subject to this recall:

  • Kathmandu Hand Torch Rechargeable 135, SKU: 61541/902

Please consult the photograph above for details of the Torch’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, if the rechargeable battery is placed in the torch the wrong way round, when the torch is then connected to the USB charging cable, it may cause the cable to heat up and potentially melt the cable.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession a recalled Hand Torch, please do not use it. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
